How to downgrade iOS 10 beta to iOS 9.3.2 on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch


Apple has released iOS 10 beta 1st to developers earlier this week at its WWDC 2016 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Here’s how to downgrade your iPhone and iPad from iOS 10 beta to iOS 9.3.2.Since Apple is still signing the iOS 9.3.2 firmware, downgrading is now possible since iOS 10 is still in its beta stage.

iOS 10 comes with lots of new features like a new and smarter Siri, improved iMessages redesigned Apple Music app, Maps, and News and more which is likely to be available for public betas in July at beta.apple.com and will be officially released in this fall.

If you feel iOS 9.3.2 is better than iOS 10 beta or if you have also faced a number of issues on iOS 10 beta and want to downgrade to iOS 9.3.2, here is how you can get back to iOS 9.3.2 quickly. No worries if you had accidentally upgraded via iTunes through developer account or OTA update. Since Apple is still signing the iOS 9.3.2 firmware, downgrading is now possible since iOS 10 is still in its beta stage.

Here’s how to downgrade your iPhone and iPad from iOS 10 beta to iOS 9.3.2
  • First of all, you need to download the iOS 9.3.2 firmware file for your device from our Download page.
  • You need to upgrade or download iTunes to the latest version on your Mac or PC.
  • Now Turn off Find my iPhone & disable passcode lock via the Settings app. (Settings > iCloud > Find my iPhone).
  • Launch iTunes & connect your iPhone, iPad & iPod Touch using data cable to your computer.
  • Hold the Alt/Option key on the Mac or Shift Key in Windows on your keyboard. 
  • Now Select the iOS 9.3.2 ipsw file you had downloaded earlier.
  • Then click on the Restore iPhone.
iTunes will inform that it will restore your iOS device to iOS 9.3.2 and Click Restore.
After restored, your device will reboot to the welcome screen and will now install iOS 9.3.2 on your device.

That’s it. Your device should now be successfully downgraded to iOS 9.3.2 from iOS 10 beta.
