Apple to add new supported app categories for Siri at WWDC to compete with Amazon’s Alexa

According to the new report from Reuters, Apple is expected to announce plans next week at WWDC 2017 to make its Siri voice assistant work for iOS 11 and is expanding the categories with a larger variety of third party apps that can integrate with Siri to compete with Amazon’s Alexa Service.
But the Cupertino, California company is likely to stick to its tested method of focusing on a small amount of features and trying to perfect them, rather than casting as wide a net as possible, according to engineers and artificial intelligence industry insiders.

Apple is expected to unveil newest versions of Apple’s platforms like iOS 11, macOS, tvOS and watchOS. Apple also to introduce new rumored Siri Speaker, a new 10.5-inch iPad, hardware updates, new Macs, iPad Pro and and a next-generation Apple TV with 4K video support.

WWDC 2017 is going to be held in June 5, next week at 10 A.M. local time at McEnery Convention Center in San Jose
