A report recently detailed that Apple will bid farewell on its MacBook butterfly keyboard mechanism and instead opt for the Scissor Switch keyboard. Supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has released a new report that will shed more light on Apple keyboards ‘ future.
Kuo argues that all refresh MacBook 2020 will come with a scissor keyboard. With a scissor-switch keyboard, the upcoming 16-inch MacBook Pro is expected to be the first Mac. Kuo had claimed in the previous report that Apple will make the switch this year in the fall and that MacBook Air will be the first to get scissor-switch.
In addition, the report also predicts that more people will use iPad Smart Keyboard with the start of iPadOS. Apple is attempting to position the iPad as a mobile computer unit, and this is iPadOS’s premise. The report also mentions how customers consider purchasing the iPad with Smart Keyboard when upgrading from Windows notebooks.
