When Apple launched Watch Series 3,
it mentioned that it can run up to 18 hours of battery life which is true but
same is not the situation when connected to LTE.
The new Apple Watch Series 3 comes
with a LTE which is a nice addition to feature but the battery life is as not
as you’d expect.
When Apple launched Watch Series 3, it mentioned that it can run up to 18 hours of battery life which is true but same is not the situation when connected to LTE.
Here is how Apple shares the
battery usage of an Apple Watch on its webpage:
Apple Watch is so capable
you’ll want to wear it all day long. So we made sure we gave it a battery that
lasts all day, too. Our goal for battery life is 18 hours after an overnight
charge, factoring in things like checking the time, receiving notifications,
using apps, and doing a 30-minute workout.

Apple Watch battery testing
was conducted by Apple in August 2017 using pre-production
Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS) and
Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular), each paired with an
iPhone.
The Apple Watch Series 3 offers 1
hour of talk time when connected to LTE but you can get up to 3 hours of talk
time when it is connected to the iPhone.
As for workout, the Apple Watch
Series 3 offers 10 hours of battery life in indoor whereas only 4 hours of
outdoor workout with GPS in use.
