Apple shows new Features that’s coming to iOS 11.3

Apple today provided a detailed information of what new features coming to iOS 11.3.

Upcoming iOS 11.3 is packed with bunch of new features like new Animoji, updated ARKit, Business Chat, advanced battery management system and an updated Health app.

Talking about Animoji, the iOS 11.3 will consist four newer ones; a bear, skull, dragon and lion making the total number of Animoji to 16.

Apple is also going to make an update to ARKit on iOS 11.3 where developers will be able to create more impressive AR apps. Updated ARKit 1.5 is going to be more smart that will be able to detect vertical surfaces and measure objects more accurately.

Also iOS 11.3 is going to include Business Chat where users will be able to communicate with businesses right from the Message app.

Most of all, iOS 11.3 will fix the recent battery issue where users complained about the device slow down. The upcoming iOS will provide more detailed information about the battery health status and tells if a battery needs to be serviced.

Another updated that iOS 11.3 will bring is in the Health app that will integrate health record from hospitals and clinics. Patient will be able to get various health information such as lab results, medications, and more.

iOS 11.3 additional feature as noted by Apple:

  • Apple Music will soon be the home for music videos. Users can stream all the music videos they want without being interrupted by ads. They can also watch the hottest new videos, the classics or ones from their favorite artists back-to-back in new music video playlists.
  • Apple News now makes it easier to stay up-to-date on the most important videos of the day with a new Video group in For You, and improved Top Stories.
  • HomeKit software authentication provides a great new way for developers to add HomeKit support to existing accessories while protecting privacy and security.
  • Support for Advanced Mobile Location (AML) to automatically send a user’s current location when making a call to emergency services in countries where AML is supported.

Apple shall push iOS 11.3 beta 1 today to developer and public beta testers. The final version will be available in Spring this year.
