Apple to bring back 3D Touch App Switching in future iOS 11 Update

When iOS 11 was released in June, one of the thing that everyone noticed was absence of 3D Touch App Switching using left edge of the iPhone’s screen. We all thought that this feature was ditched by the Apple completely. But the good news is it is returning back in upcoming iOS 11 updates.

Macrumors reported that Craig Federighi replied to an email regarding this issue mentioning the feature was removed due to a “technical constraint” and will be back in future iOS updates.

“Hi Adam,

We regretfully had to temporarily drop support for this gesture due to a technical constraint. We will be bringing it back in an upcoming iOS 11.x update.

Thanks (and sorry for the inconvenience)!

The 3D App Switching was one of the most loved feature of every iOS user and it was requested to bring it back. The feature allowed to access app switcher simply by hard pressing on left edge of iPhone’s screen without having to double press the Home – Button. Finally Apple is going to bring it back for us.
How you feel about 3D Touch App Switching coming back to iOS again?
