How to Enable Dark Mode on iPhone X in iOS 11

    Eagerly waiting for “Dark Mode” in iOS 11 on iPhone? Here’s how to enable dark mode on iPhone X, iPhone 8 – 8 Plus and older in iOS 11/11.1/11.2.We always wanted a Dark Mode from a long time but now Apple has added the most awaited Dark Mode in iOS 11 as hidden feature with the function name called “Smart Invert Colors”.

    Smart Invert colors reverses the color of the display, except for images, media and some apps that use dark color styles.

    iOS 11 gained some cool features like new control center, new features on iMessage, new Siri voices, battery life, animation with lot more features like new emojis, return of 3D touch app switcher and more. iOS 11 is now gained some more versions like iOS 11.1 snd iOS 11.2 beta 2 with many functions added.

    Previously, we even created a Dark Mode of our own by inverting the colors to classic on Accessibility settings. It worked pretty well but at some part it did not do as well as we wanted.

    How to Enable Dark Mode in iOS 11 on iPhone/iPad

    Before enabling the dark mode on iPhone X in iOS 11, you need to turn on the Smart Invert feature. Here’s how you can turn on smart invert and enable Dark Mode in iOS 11 on iPhone, iPad and new iPhone X.

    It is pretty much the same process as you did before to enable invert colors. Now to get hidden Dark Mode on your iPhone in iOS 11, there is a new option in the accessibility settings and that is “Smart Invert”

    “Smart Invert” is a new feature added to the new iOS 11 or later that applies a dark mode on entire iOS system including settings, App store, iMessage, photos app and more.

    For example, it does not invert the photo in the photos app but applies dark mode to the other part. Altogether it is really nice and amazing to see dark mode on iPhone X or other older devices. Let’s do this…

    To get Dark Mode on iPhone/iPad running iOS 11, all you need to do is go to:

    General – Accessibility – Display Accommodations – Smart Invert Colors.
