How to Enable Night Shift Mode in iOS 11 on iPhone/iPad

    It’s a little different way to enable or turn on Night Shift Mode on iOS 11 as compared to previous version iOS 10/9.3. In iOS 10/9.3, you can easily turn on Night Shift mode as it was clearly seen in the Control Center through the position of the Night Shift toggle is changed. But what about iOS 11?

    With the launch of iOS 11, there are plenty of new features that Apple has added in it.

    The main redesigned and improvement part of iOS 11 is Control Center. But after looking at all of its features I was unable to find the Night Shift Toggle in Control Center like in the previous version.

    Night Shift Mode makes the color of your iOS device’s display adapt to the time of day, warm at night and like sunlight during the day. Night Shift automatically shifts the colors of your display to the warmer end of the color spectrum after dark.

    After some while, I found that Night Shift Mode is kinda hidden in iOS 11. So it may be difficulty finding Night Shift Mode on iPhone/iPad and turn it ON when in need.

    So follow these steps to enable Night Shift Mode on iPhone in iOS 11 using Control Center and Settings:

    How to Turn On Night Shift Mode in iOS 11 on iPhone/iPad

    Manual Method:

    You can always turn on Night Shift Mode in iOS 11 manually.

    Go to Settings >> Display & Brightness >> Night Shift >> Turn it on



    Direct Method (Control Center)

    Enabling Night Shift Mode in iOS 11 is different from iOS 10 as you can see the screenshot below;


    1#. Swipe up the Control Center

    2#. In the Brightness section, 3D Touch on it (Highlighted in the right side of Control Center) if you have a 3D Touch-enabled devices. It will show up the brightness
    controller where you can increase or decrease the brightness of your device.

    3#. Just bottom down the brightness controller, you can see Night Shift Mode and tap to enable it.

    That’s it. You have now turned on the Night Shift Mode in iOS 11 on iPhone/iPad.

    For non-3D Touch devices, long press the brightness section to see the iOS 11 Night Shift Mode.


    How to Turn Off/Disable Night Shift Mode in iOS 11

    To turn off or disable Night Shift Mode in iOS 11, either go manually from Settings or directly from Control Center. To do that follow the same steps as above and turn it off or disable Night Shift Mode in iOS 11 on iPhone/iPad.
