macOS catalina Leads Issue With Selected eGPUs

Upgrading macOS from Mojave to Catalina had found out to have numerous bugs. macOS Catalina is supposing to disturb many apps. Recently the users have reported having the problem with eGPU upgrading to macOS Catalina which is the issue related to the Catalina Update.

Some users are found to be reporting the issues unable to booting up with the display connected to the eGPU unit while some of the users are reporting that their Mac is freezing. Even users are facing the problems related to the apps like Photoshop after upgrading to macOS Catalina.

Issues occur for the AMD Radeon 570 and Radeon 580 series cards on Mac mini even AMD Vega GPUs are working fine. Until and unless the eGPU unit is not ditched the issues cannot be solved. Interestingly, even the eGPUs listed on the official support of Apple present problems of compatibility.

In the present, there is no solution to these issues all we can do is wait for Apple to issue a patch. Although to these issues, Company hasn’t released any statement. Apple had stopped supporting 32-bits apps starting with Catalina might be this can be the reason for the issues.

 The conclusion is that the issues are only affecting select eGPU models. The eGPU’s issue is widely reported from all over the world, Apple might fix the issue if popular eGPU models are affected within a day.
