The future iPhones are rumored to use OLED screen with a display size of 5.5-inches and the supplier for these OLED panels is going to be Samsung.
A
report from Korean Herald suggests that Apple and Samsung has fixed an agreement
where Samsung will supply around 100 million units of OLED display to Apple in
2017. It means we may get a new 5.5 inch iPhone by the end of 2017 with OLED
display technology. The OLED displays are more brighter consuming less battery
power.
Reports also suggest that Apple Apple
has offered $2.59 billion to Samsung to manufacture the OLED displays. This
agreement will last for at least three years where Samsung will supply 100
million 5.5 inch OLED display panels to Apple.
Right now Apple Watch has been using
this technology. Now it’s time for an iPhone.
If this rumor turned out to be true than
we might see a new iPhone which may be called as iPhone Pro by the end of
2017. But it’s all rumor for now so we don’t know what’s going to happen.
Also Apple is releasing a new iPhone 7
with dual camera lens on back, smart connector, no headphone jack, and stereo
speakers by the end of 2016.
